Yahama motorcyclist in his 30s suffers serious leg injury after crash with Skoda Kodiaq on A1071 near Boxford

A motorbike rider suffered serious injuries following a collision near a Suffolk village at the weekend, with police appealing for witnesses to the incident.

The Yamaha motorcycle was involved in a serious collision with a grey Skoda Kodiaq on the A1071 near Boxford at about 12.10pm on Saturday.

As a result of the crash, the motorcyclist – a man aged in his 30s – sustained serious injuries to his right leg and ankle.

Suffolk Police has now opened a collision investigation into the incident, and is calling for anybody who witnessed what happened, or who has dashboard camera footage that captured the crash to come forward.

Officers are particularly interested in speaking with anyone travelling in a car that was towing a caravan along the A1071 at the time, as they believe they would have seen the collision take place.
