Two men charged after cash and drugs seized in Bures, near Sudbury
Two men have been charged after cash and drugs were seized in a village.
Police executed a warrant on Monday at an address in Bures, near Sudbury, where a quantity of drugs and cash were seized.
A man, in his 50s, was arrested at the property, and another man, in his 40s, was arrested out of Suffolk.
Steward Howard, 51, and Robin Clague, 49, both of Friends Field, have been charged with several offences.
The offences include:
- possession of a controlled class A drug, namely cocaine, with intent to supply
- possession of a controlled class B drug, namely cannabis, with intent to supply
- concealing/disguising/removing criminal property, namely cash
Both Howard and Clague appeared before Suffolk Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, where they were remanded by the court to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on June 10.
A third man, aged in his 20s, was arrested in Assington on Monday on suspicion of money laundering and being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug, namely cocaine.
He has been released on police bail, pending further enquiries, until July 21.
