Police appeal after woman spat at during incident in Sudbury




Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was spat at in Sudbury.

The incident took place in York Road on Friday at around 8.20pm.

An altercation took place between the victim, a 34-year-old woman in a Citroen C4, and a male driving a silver transit van.

The suspect, who had been waiting at a junction in Stanley Road, shouted at the victim to move her car.

He then got out of his van, before attempting to move her car using his vehicle.

After getting out of his vehicle again, the suspect tried to take hold of the victim, before spitting at her.

The female passenger in the transit van tried to calm him down, before the suspect drove off.

No-one was hurt during the incident. The Citroen suffered minor damage to its bumper.

The male suspect is described as white, of average height and of stocky build, with short dark hair.
