Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after a car crash in Bulmer Tye which left a woman seriously injured.

The female driver of the Astra, who is in her 30s and from the Chelmsford area, suffered serious leg injuries in the accident.

She was cut free from her car and taken to hospital for treatment.

There were no passengers on the bus and the bus driver was not injured.

Investigating officer Pc Joanne Jeggo, from Essex Police, said: “I’m appealing for the driver of a small 4x4, similar to a Honda RAV 4, to come forward.

“They may have crucial information that could help us investigate the circumstances leading up to this collision.”
