Police charge 18-year-old man following armed robbery in Ballingdon store




An 18-year-old man has been charged following an armed robbery at a convenience store in Ballingdon Street yesterday (Wednesday).

Casey Keeble of Ballingdon Street, Sudbury, has been charged with robbery and threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place.

Officers were alerted just before 3.20pm yesterday to reports that a man had gone into Strawberry Stores with a knife and stolen items.

The teenager was arrested a short time later and taken into custody at Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre where he was interviewed in connection with the incident.

He has now been charged and is being detained in custody pending an appearance before Ipswich Magistrates Court on Saturday morning, 4 April.
