Sudbury’s Weston’s Bakery in Gaol Lane set to be taken over by Toast

A popular bakery that stopped trading after a crash left owners seriously injured will be taken over by a local coffee shop company.

Toast, which has branches in Sudbury, Braintree and Chelmsford, is set to take over Weston’s Bakery in Gaol Lane, Sudbury.

Last Saturday was the final day of trading for Weston’s, after husband-and-wife co-founders Pat and Chris Weston were hospitalised following a head-on crash with an overtaking vehicle last Friday.
