Wetherspoon Grover & Allen pub, Sudbury, all set for beer festival with ales from around the world

Staff at a Sudbury pub are all set for a beer festival, featuring ales from across the world.

The 12-day event will be held at the Grover & Allen in Sudbury, from Wednesday, March 6, until March 17.

It will showcase five real ales from overseas, including Taiwan, Germany, USA, Belgium and Italy, amongst many others.

The North Street pub, run by Wetherspoon, will also be serving a number of beers brewed especially for the event, including a vegan collection and some that include chocolate and vanilla in their ingredients.

Pub manager Kye Harris said there was a lot of excitement ahead of the returning event.

“The festival is a great celebration of real ale,” he said.

“It will give customers the opportunity to enjoy a number of beers which have not previously been available, as well as those brewed especially for the festival.”

All beers during the festival will cost £2.29 a pint.

There will also be tasting notes available.
