The next stage of the major 1,150-home development on the north end of Sudbury has been outlined, with members of the public invited to have their say.

Taylor Wimpey is launching a consultation next week on phase two of Chilton Woods, comprising 243 homes, of which 30 per cent are set to be affordable housing.

It follows last year’s planning approval for the first parcel of 200 homes, which began to go on sale in September.

Sam Caslin, planning manager for Taylor Wimpey London, said: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has shared their views on our proposals for the Chilton Woods development over the past year.

“The feedback has led to significant changes to our designs for the whole site, and we believe the development will be better as a result.

“We are now seeking people’s views on the second phase. We look forward to hearing what people think of our latest proposals.”

The consultation runs from Monday until February 14. A webinar is also being held on Wednesday at 5pm.
