Public footpath off Cornard Road in Sudbury temporarily closed




A public footpath in a Suffolk town has been temporarily closed for surface improvement work.

The footpath just off Cornard Road next to Ernest Doe in Sudbury has been closed by Suffolk County Council.

Work on the footpath had been delayed due to weather but will now be completed on Thursday, March 23.

It is the same footpath where police were called to on Tuesday, March 14 after reports of an alleged sexual assault incident.

A spokesperson for Suffolk Highways said: "Public Footpath 12 in Sudbury was temporarily closed last week to complete surface improvement work.

"The works were delayed due to weather but will now be completed on Thursday, March 23."
