One person taken to hospital following two vehicle crash on B1068 at Stoke by Nayland




A road has been closed and a person has been taken to hospital after emergency crews were called to a collision involving two vehicles on the B1068 at Stoke by Nayland this morning.

Four teams of firefighters, alongside police, ambulance crews and an air ambulance were called to the scene of the crash on Park Road at about 7.35am.

An ambulance service spokeswoman said three patients were treated at the scene before one was taken to Colchester General Hospital for further treatment.

The casualties' injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

At 8.54am, Suffolk Police said the B1068 at Stoke by Nayland was closed and they advised motorists to avoid the area.

A spokesman said Highways officials were on the scene to clear debris from the road and the vehicles were set to be recovered from the scene.

As of 11.30am, he said the road remained closed.
