Santa swaps sleigh for return of popular River Stour boat rides in Sudbury
Father Christmas and his trusty team of elves swapped the traditional sleigh for a boat in order to treat passengers to a trip along the River Stour.
For its final event of 2021, the River Stour Trust brought back its popular Santa Stour Boat Rides in Sudbury this month, after missing out last year.
Following the boat trips, Santa Claus then presented gifts to all the children in attendance, while everyone enjoyed Mrs Claus’ festive treats in the tea room.
Catherine Burrows, manager of the River Stour Trust, said: “It was lovely to welcome everyone back for our last event of the year, including our youngest passenger at only four weeks old.
“Our elves encouraged the festive cheer with lots of singing and jokes.”
Proceeds from the boat rides will support the ongoing restoration, conservation and education projects of the Suffolk and Essex River Stour Navigation.
