Honywood School has paid tribute to former pupil and Sudbury beautician, Maddy Campbell, who died this week
The 17-year-old, who worked in Lipstick and Locks on North Street, died in her sleep earlier in the week and tributes have poured in from her family, friends, colleagues and clients.
Honywood School in Coggeshall, Essex, which Maddy left in 2020, has today released a statement on social media in memory of the teen.
"It is with great sadness that this week we were informed of the sudden passing in her sleep of Maddy Campbell, a former learner who left Honywood in the summer of 2020," it read.
"She was a well liked and popular member of Miss McPhail's learning Group.
"Maddy left Honywood and pursued a career in the beauty industry, securing an apprenticeship at Lipstick and Locks in Sudbury where she quickly became a valuable and well loved member of their team.
"She was incredibly talented, and in the last year of her apprenticeship with an exciting career ahead of her.
"We are devastated by this news and our hearts go out to Kelly, Chris, Summer and Darcy, her family at this time."
The teenager was described in a social media tribute by the salon in which she worked as 'adored by everyone' and 'an irreplaceable member of the Lipstick and Locks family.'
"Maddy had the whole world at her feet, she was so unbelievably talented. Our hearts are completely broken," they added.
Hundreds of Maddy's clients, friends and family have also shared touching tributes and memories, with the salon's tribute receiving over 220 comments and 118 shares.
