See devastation after crews from Bury St Edmunds, Felixstowe, Haverhill and more attend house fire in Little Cornard, near Sudbury




A converted barn being used as a home has suffered extensive damage after a blaze that ripped through it yesterday.

Firefighters recently left the scene of a fire in Little Cornard, near Sudbury.

About 14 engines, including crews from Felixstowe, Hadleigh, Sudbury, Long Melford, Clare, Haverhill and Bury St Edmunds were called to Chapel Lane at 3.22pm yesterday.

A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said the damage was extensive, and images taken by SuffolkNews show the damage left in its wake.

A stop was called at 6.11pm yesterday, but one crew remained at the scene to keep watch overnight.

However, all crews have since stood down.

No one was injured in the incident, the spokesman added.
