Shed at property in Airey Close, Newton, catches fire





A shed at a village property caught fire this afternoon.

Firefighters were called to the blaze at a home in Airey Close, Newton, near Sudbury, at 12.34pm.

A spokesperson for the fire service said the shed was two metres x three metres.

They added the blaze was caused by a solar bank of batteries.

Hose reel jets were used to extinguish the fire.

The incident was dealt with by 1.37pm.
