Sudbury’s shapely history captured

An important part of Sudbury’s textile history is to be put on the big screen.
Sudbury had a thriving corset making industry after manufacturers set up in the town in the 1880s, and one survivor, W T Reddells, was still in business in the late 1980s at its factory on Constitution Hill, latterly making swimwear.
The business lives on in Sudbury’s historic photo archive and glimpses will be shown in Caught on Camera on the big screen at The Quay Theatre, Sudbury, on Saturday at 7.30pm.
