Sudbury weather: Sunshine set to bring the heat this weekend before rainfall arrives next week

Sudbury is set to bask in the sunshine this weekend.

Extended spells of bright sunshine are forecast to bring the heat to the area over the next few days, with temperatures reaching 18 degrees today and tomorrow, before climbing to 20 degrees on Saturday and then 22 degrees on Sunday.

But they could be among the last true summer days of the year, as showers are set to start on Monday evening, before longer periods of rainfall on Tuesday.

Temperatures have decreased as expected throughout the month ,and the forecast is a far cry from the mercury-busting Bank Holiday in August.

September is expected to close out with several days of unsettled weather, with Monday seeing some breakthroughs of sun before rain quickly pushes in.
