Sudbury residents left heartbroken by the death of a popular and talented teenager Maddy Campbell
A 17-year-old Sudbury beautician, described by friends and family as a 'beautiful, talented, up-and-coming star' has died, prompting an outpour of tributes on social media.
Maddy Campbell, who worked in the town's popular hair and beauty salon Lipstick and Locks, died in her sleep yesterday.
The teenager has been described by the salon in a social media tribute as 'adored by everyone' and 'an irreplaceable member of the Lipstick and Locks family.'
"Maddy had the whole world at her feet, she was so unbelievably talented. Our hearts are completely broken," they added.
Hundreds of Maddy's clients, friends and family have also shared touching tributes and memories, with the salon's tribute receiving over 170 comments and 100 shares.
One wrote: "This feels like a living nightmare. Our angel, who we loved to the moon and beyond."
Another said: "I am completely in shock, Maddy was so talented and definitely a rising star in the beauty industry.
"She was always so happy and willing to help everyone, taken way too soon.
"Thinking of you all at this very sad time, her memory will definitely live on in Lipstick and Locks."
The salon was closed yesterday and will remain closed today while Maddy's colleagues, who describe themselves as 'one big family' grieve.
