Stoke-by-Clare woman launches environmentally friendly newspaper brand during Coronavirus lockdown

A Suffolk woman has launched an eco-friendly newspaper subscription service which she created from her Stoke-by-Clare home during Covid lockdown.

Kirsten Marshall, 26, started her 28-page newspaper and online website, The Eco News, 'to raise awareness of making a change and helping to save our planet.'

The news outlet shares sustainable lifestyle tips and eco-friendly product recommendations to its subscribers, who receive a copy of The Eco News quarterly.

Kirsten said:"I wanted to help those who care about our planet but weren’t quite sure where to start.

"I begun on social media sharing my top tips and ideas which then grew into my idea of creating a newsletter.

"The newsletter soon sprung into creating a whole newspaper as so many people just wanted to read more."

Since starting The Eco News, Kirsten has also begun producing a children's version of the paper which teaches young people to make sustainable choices and promotes eco-friendly practices through fun activities and reading.

“We are here to educate you and tell you amazing stories from around the world," she said.

"I want to voice how people can be more sustainable, how you can make small changes to make a difference and update you on worldwide change.”

A subscription for The Eco News is £3.99 every three months.
