The Original Factory Shop excited to be part of Hadleigh community after concession launch at East of England Co-op

A retail chain has voiced its delight at the response to the launch of its new partnership with a Hadleigh supermarket, adding that it aims to become part of the community.

The Original Factory Shop (TOFS) officially opened its new 2,500-square foot concession at the East of England Co-op in the High Street, following a soft launch at the weekend.

Offering a range of discount clothing, pet products, electrical items, homewares, a party shop service and a reserve and collect system, the venture has created 11 new jobs for the area.

“Hadleigh is a great, historic town to be a part of, so it’s now about making sure we provide the best possible customer service.

“We have had some great feedback. Everyone is really happy to see us expanding as a company and collaborating with the Co-op. People have said it’s great to see another shop in the town and new places to come to.

“Customers have said there’s lots of choice in our stock, and they have found our staff to be really friendly. In all, it has been a great opening.

“We want to make sure we’re part of the community, and providing that excellent shop experience for what customers need and want.”

The opening is part of a wider collaboration between the Co-op and TOFS, which is planning to set up concession outlets at several supermarkets around the country.

Brendan Smith, head of retail at the East of England Co-op, said: “The products and services provided by The Original Factory Shop have proven popular with our customers in other locations.

“We’re very pleased to be expanding our partnership with them.

“We very much look forward to welcoming their teams to our stores.”

The TOFS branch at the East of England Co-op in Hadleigh will be open from 7am to 10pm between Monday and Saturday and from 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
