Three Sudbury businesses celebrate reaching final of national Small Business Awards
Sudbury will enjoy threefold representation on the national stage, as a trio of independent businesses picked up nominations for a prestigious accolade.
Toodle Pip Designs, EO Escape Rooms and Breakout were all confirmed as national finalists of The Small Business Awards, which take place next month.
Each business achieves success at regional level in their respective categories, and will now attend the national awards ceremony in London on November 14, after months of drumming up votes.
Toodle Pip Designs is vying for the top prize in the Arts and Creative category, with owner Lu Underwood revealing that her regional success had created a great buzz.
“Winning the category for the east of England back in March gave me an incredible confidence boost and validation for my business and my mission to spread joy,” said the mum-of-three.
“It has also made me more grateful for the fact that this is part of my career and I have become more ambitious.
“I am so excited to be in the nationals now – I would be incredibly proud to have that title.”
Meanwhile, Breakout – a business and community support hub based in Long Melford – has made the shortlist for the Business Hero gong.
Founder Farley Boxall said: “We are extremely excited to be a ‘Business Hero’ finalist in The Small Business Awards.
“Our community development and initiatives, which we work on every day, make this award extra special.”
Finally, EO Escape Rooms is in the running in two categories – Customer Service, and Innovation.
“We are delighted to announce that we are finalists in two categories of the National Small Business Awards,” reads a statement from the business, located in Drury Drive.
“After winning the Innovation Award in both the Suffolk and East of England areas, can we do it again, but this time nationally?”
