LEARN MOREA celebration of sustainability returned to Sudbury for the first time this year, to add a green feel to the Easter weekend.
Market Hill once again played host to Green Sunday, a regular market showcasing local businesses, charities and community groups with an eco-friendly ethos, alongside free family activities and workshops.
Launched by Sudbury Town Council last summer, the initiative aims to encourage people to adopt more sustainable practices in their lives, while also highlighting the environmental benefits of shopping locally.
The bank holiday theme was also alive and well during the weekend’s event, as a community-driven display of Easter bunnies caught the eye outside St Peter’s.
The creative recycling project was constructed from old tyres which had been fly-tipped in Monks Eleigh last year, and were previously used for a Christmas display over the festive period.
Green Sundays will continue to take place on the third Sunday of every month through to October, with the next event set to take place on May 15.
