Sudbury Post Office reopens in Borehamgate precinct after temporary closure for building work
A town Post Office has reopened today in a new unit after it temporarily closed for building works.
Sudbury Post Office has been operating from Unit 8 in Borehamgate precinct, but closed on March 17 for building work to be carried out at the site.
Today, the service has opened temporarily in a co-sharing space at the Innovation Labs at Unit 16 in the centre.
A Post Office spokesperson said: “We are pleased to announce that a new temporary location for Sudbury Post Office has opened today (19/4) to restore service to the community.
“The Post Office is co-sharing space at the Innovation Labs at Unit 16, Borehamgate Shopping Centre. These premises are conveniently located opposite where Sudbury Post Office had been based.
“The opening hours will remain as Monday to Friday: 9am – 5.30pm; Saturday: 9am – 2pm. The same products and services are available," they added.
The branch moved to Unit 8 in June when WHSmith Books in Market Hill, where it had formerly been based, closed down.
The spokesperson thanked Babergh District Council for helping find the new location at short notice.
