Sudbury’s Post Office branch set to re-open after refurbishment

Sudbury’s main Post Office branch is finally set to re-open to customers next month, following the completion of a significant refurbishment.

Post Office services will resume at Unit 8 in the Borehamgate precinct off King Street from Wednesday, December 6.

Operating hours will continue six days a week, from 9am to 5.30pm between Monday and Friday, and 9am to 2pm on Saturday.

The outlet – which launched in summer 2022 to replace the service at the former WHSmith shop on Market Hill – temporarily closed back in March, to allow for building works to be carried out.

Since April, the Post Office has maintained a presence in the town, via a pop-up counter inside the Innovation Labs, which is also located at the Borehamgate precinct, just opposite the main branch.

A letter to customers stated that the renovated premises will provide a modern appearance, with two open-plan serving counters.
