Police appeal for witnesses after three-vehicle crash in Glemsford near Sudbury where two motorcyclists suffered serious injuries
Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in a Suffolk village last week where a man suffered potentially life-changing injuries.
Officers were called just after 4pm on Friday, June 2 to reports of a three-vehicle crash on the A1092 Lower Road in Glemsford near Sudbury, close to the Willow Tree Farm Shop entrance.
Two motorcycle riders – a man aged in his 30s and a man aged in his 50s – both suffered serious injuries, with the injuries of the man aged in his 30s described as potentially life-changing.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Crews and the ambulance service were in attendance, with both motorcyclists taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital – one via air ambulance and the other by land ambulance.
The incident involved a white Mercedes Sprinter van, a black Kawasaki motorcycle and an Orange KTM motorcycle.
The road remained closed until 10pm on Friday evening for recovery of the vehicles and a collision investigation to take place.
Officers would like to hear from any witnesses to the collision and ask anyone driving in the area immediately prior to the incident with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle, to review the footage for any material that may be of assistance.
