A134 crash at Assington: Two people suffer potentially serious injuries after collision near Sudbury

Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious crash on the A134 near Sudbury that left two people with potentially serious injuries.

Officers were called to the road in Assington, at the junction with Dyers Lane, by the ambulance service at about 1.16pm to reports of a collision between a motorbike and a car.

A man, who was riding the motorbike, was airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge having suffered potentially serious injuries.

Another person, a woman, was treated at the scene for a serious leg injury before being taken to hospital.

The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the collision, but the road has since reopened.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to come forward, along with anyone driving in the area prior to the incident who has a dascham in their vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Suffolk Roads and Armed Policing Team on 101, quoting CAD reference 203 of June 17.
