Andrew Chadfield charged with two counts of assault after allegedly avoiding police officers in Sudbury while sunbathing




A 40-year-old man has been charged with two counts of assault after allegedly avoiding police officers while sunbathing in a Suffolk town.

Andrew Chadfield, of Warwick Street, in Manchester, was charged in connection with assaults on a prison officer and a police officer.

A Suffolk Police spokesperson said he was arrested while sunbathing in a discreet location allegedly trying to avoid officers at Woodhall Business Park in Sudbury on Friday afternoon.

Chadfield was also charged with possession of cannabis and was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Station for questioning.

He is due to appear before Suffolk Magistrates’ Court today.
