Mill Street Store and Deli in Nayland, near Sudbury, has visit from Red Dwarf and Death in Paradise star, Danny John-Jules

Owners of a Suffolk store, cafe and deli have posted a picture of themselves with a well-known face of TV and film after he visited the site.

Ross and Jade Elsworth, of Mill Street Store and Deli in Nayland, near Sudbury, welcomed Danny John-Jules – best known for his roles as Cat from BBC comedy Red Dwarf and policeman Dwayne Myer in Death in Paradise – on Friday.

In the post on the Mill Street Store and Deli Facebook page, the pair said he had popped in for the lunch and then took time to chat to them after his meal.

Ross said in the post: “I’m a massive Red Dwarf fan and Jade loves Death in Paradise, so we were really pleased Danny took the time to have a chat with us.”

As well as his TV work, which included a stint on Strictly Come Dancing, the actor has also been in films such as Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels in 1998 and Blade II in 2002.
