Woman in her 30s dies after car collides with roadside bank in Clare

A woman in her 30s has died in a collision in a Suffolk town in the early hours of this morning, police have said.

The collision, involving one vehicle, happened at about 12.15am on the A1092 Cavendish Road in Clare.

A police spokesman said a Vauxhall Corsa was travelling from Clare to Cavendish when it collided with a roadside bank.

Emergency services were called to the scene and the road was closed until about 7.15am while initial investigations were carried out and the road was cleared.

The woman, who was the only person in the car, died at the scene. No one else was hurt.

Anyone who saw the collision should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting CAD 4 of November 27.
