BOSTIK LEAGUE: Horne returns to AFC
Midfielder Ryan Horne has agreed a move back to AFC Sudbury.
The 22-year-old former Cambridge United trainee previously had a loan spell with The Yellows, during which he made 21 appearances.
He has since gone on to play for Soham Town Rangers — helping them to preserve their Bostik League Division One North status last term — before joining St Neots Town in the summer.
Horne scored three goals for the Step 3 club this season and was named their Player of the Month in September, but starting opportunities have been hard to come by of late.
As a result, he has opted to move back to Sudbury and is set to train with Mark Morsley’s team tomorrow night.
A statement on the St Neots website read: “It is with regret this morning that we announce Ryan Horne has decided to leave the club.
“Wanting regular football, something he has found difficult to obtain in what is now a very competitive squad, he has decided to seek this elsewhere, namely AFC Sudbury.”
