The 16-year-old Stoke-by-Nayland-trained ace will be battling to bring home a third consecutive gold for England at the Murhof Golf Club from July 10-14.

Great Cornard resident Humphreys made her Curtis Cup debut at Quaker Ridge, New York, earlier this month, which ended in a 17-3 victory for the USA over Great Britain.

She is joined in the England team by another 16-year-old, Annabell Fuller from Roehampton, who was also in the Curtis Cup team.

The four other members were in last year’s victorious England team: Lianna Bailey (Kirby Muxloe), India Clyburn (Woodhall Spa), Sophie Lamb (Clitheroe) and Alice Hewson (Berkhamstead). Hewson also helped win gold in 2016.
