Home team wins tennis tournament

Lavenham Lawn Tennis Club had four clubs represented in their annual Open Mixed Tournament earlier this month.

Of the eight couples who competed, a good afternoon’s tennis at Bridge Street Road on Sunday, May 13, was won by Sean Fitzpattrick and Julia Millar of home club Lavenham. They beat runners up Richard Aldershaw (Sudbury) and Bronwen Rees (Stoke-by-Clare) in the final.

Westcliff LTC Essex were also represented in the tournament.
