AFC Sudbury have secured the services of former Football League defender Adam Tann.

It has already been a busy summer at the Wardale Williams Stadium, where 13 of last season’s squad have re-signed for the 2016-17 Ryman League Premier Division campaign, while attackers Rob Eagle and Sam Bantick have arrived from Lowestoft Town and Concord Rangers respectively.

Now, manager Jamie Godbold has bolstered his defensive options with the signing of 34-year-old Tann.

The centre-back started his career with Cambridge United, for whom he made over 100 appearances.

That was followed by stints with the likes of Notts County and Leyton Orient, before he dropped into non-league and turned out for Histon, Chelmsford City, Bury Town, Leiston and most recently St Neots Town.
