Suffolk Ladies clinch county title
Suffolk FA Ladies won the East Anglian Counties Championship title courtesy of a 2-1 victory over their Kent counterparts last Thursday.
Both sides headed into the game at Brantham Athletic locked on six points apiece, but it was Suffolk that eventually edged through to lift the Fred Welham Cup.
A goal in either half from Hollie Clement and Paige Shorten put Suffolk in control of the contest.
Kent hit back late on through substitute Amy Russ. yet it proved to be only a consolation strike.
Charlotte Osborne and Nadine Basson, both of Bury Town, were a part of the victorious squad.
