TRISudbury members impress at AJ Bell World Triathlon
TRISudbury had an individual and relay team enter the AJ Bell World Triathlon in Leeds at the weekend.
On Saturday, the club’s junior team captain Charlie Boldock took part in the Tri Star 3 World Series triathlon, which included a 300m swim, 5km cycle and 2.5km run around Roundhay Park.
Completing the open water swim in four minutes and 59 seconds, Boldock then went through the transition to complete the cycle in 10:17, before running the final leg in 11:11.
The TRISudbury trio did fantastically well, having put everything they had into competing and performing brilliantly, and it is a great representation of the hard work and training that the team have been doing over the winter and spring months.
The club’s run coach, Lisa Dalton, also took part in a 10km swim run, which is a 10km of combined swim and run in lake, river and trails, consisting of 8.2km of running and 1.8km of open water swimming.
This Sunday, TRISudbury will be hosting their third Sudbury Triathlon (8am start) and first Junior Triathlon (2pm).
