AFC Sudbury manager David Batch had nothing but praise for his side after their FA Trophy journey ended with a spirited defeat at Braintree Town.

Having very much held their own against the Vanarama Conference outfit, who ply their trade three leagues above, Sudbury’s hopes of causing a notable upset were finally dashed in the 57th minute following Simeon Akinola’s solitary strike.
