A134 Bury Road embankment blaze at Barnham Cross Common, Thetford, prompts multiple fire crew response

Fire crews were called to a large fire along a roadside embankment.

Two crews from Thetford and one from Bury St Edmunds were called to A134 Bury Road, alongside Barnham Cross Common, Thetford at 8.57pm last night.

The blaze strecthed 120 metres by 60 metres along the embankment.

It was extinguished by 10.47pm, using hose reel jets and a misting unit, said a spokesperson for Suffolk Fire and rescue.
