Budding photographers champion Thetford and showcase skills in West Suffolk College competition




Budding David Baileys got the chance to showcase their talents during a photography competition aimed at championing Thetford.

Run by the West Suffolk College personal and professional development centre in Staniforth Road, Thetford, the contest launched earlier this year and received 36 submissions.

The winner of Thetford through the Lens was announced during a showcase at the community hub.

Sarah Morrison, a Thetford based secretary who had previously taken part in a photography course with the college last year, was announced as the winner for her image of the Three Nuns Bridges.

She received a £50 voucher and a large print of her winning photo.

Emma Jones was second and Micheala Sears was placed joint third with Sarah.

Visitors to the event were able to choose their favourite photo and Georgeena Taylor was the ‘on the night’ winner. The pictures have also been integrated into sustainability trail ThetZero.
