Thetford river man's death not being treated as suspicious




The death of a man who was pulled from a Thetford river on Thursday is not being treated as suspicious, Norfolk Police have said.

Officers were call to Bridge Street at 2.40pm after a member of the public reported seeing a body in the Little Ouse River.

Emergency services, including the ambulance and air ambulance, attended and rescued the man, believed to be in his 40s, from the water.

He was taken to West Suffolk Hospital where despite best efforts, he later died on Friday morning.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner in due course.
