Fortunately, the dog was unharmed following the three-hour ordeal.

Station Manager Adam Eagle, who attended the incident, said the pipe drains into a nearby pond which is believed to be where Senna initially became stuck.

He said: "A team from the Norfolk Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) was called in and, working with a local drainage company, the dog’s owners and local residents, we were able to locate Senna.

"Thanks to the combined efforts of USAR, the owners, and local residents, we were able to dig down to the pipe and create an access point.

"After some encouragement from his owner, Senna was able to be brought back up and was safely rescued."
