Driver remains in hospital after suspected medical episode incident which shut A11 near Thetford
A driver remains in hospital following a suspected medical episode which closed a major route for several hours.
A lorry travelling northbound on the A11, near Thetford, left the road at 5.09pm on Friday and came to a stop at the roundabout with the A1075.
Emergency services, including the air ambulance, attended the scene and treated the driver, who was found unresponsive in the cab following a suspected medical episode.
The driver was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital by land ambulance where he remains.
The road was closed while emergency services were on scene and reopened at 8.22pm.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who has any relevant dashcam footage.
