Extensive search for missing Santon Downham man John Crook continues near Thetford
An extensive search in a forest is continuing with the help of drones as a 60-year-old man continues to be missing.
John Crook, left his home in Santon Downham, near Thetford, on Saturday morning and hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
He was reported missing Saturday afternoon and police are increasingly concerned for his welfare.
John is described as white, bald, 6ft tall, of athletic build, with tanned skin and a trimmed beard.
When last seen, he was wearing navy tracksuit bottoms, walking boots and a grey fleece jacket, and he might be wearing a hat.
Superintendent Sonia Humphreys said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for John’s welfare.
“Searches are being carried out in the forest surrounding Santon Downham, with the support of drones, POLSA, and Norfolk Lowland Search and Rescue.
“We would like to hear from anyone who has been walking in the area since Saturday morning and may have seen someone matching John’s description.
“To help jog people’s memories, we are also releasing a new photo of John.”
