Brandon Country Park forest fire sees Bury St Edmunds, Thetford, Mildenhall and Newmarket engines called to blaze





Multiple fire crews attended a huge 10,000 square metres forest blaze in a Suffolk town.

Firefighters were called to the incident at 12.39pm today at Brandon Country Park.

A spokesperson for Brandon Fire Station said the blaze covered about 10,000 square metres of undergrowth and trees.

Six hose reels were used to gain control of the fire.

Crews from Bury St Edmunds, Thetford, Mildenhall and Newmarket all attended the scene.
