Fund-raiser launched for Thetford family with six children affected by devastating blaze after fire services called
A GoFundMe fund-raiser has been launched for a family affected by a devastating blaze in a Suffolk town.
Set up by Andrew Fordham, the fund-raiser has raised £185 so far, after a fire in Ulfkell Road in Thetford on Sunday October 16.
Fire services from Bury St Edmunds, Thetford and East Harling were called at 12.28pm and the blaze in the kitchen was extinguished using hose reels.
On the GoFundMe page, Andrew Fordham said his family's lives had been turned upside down and they had lost everything in their home with nothing being salvageable.
With his partner and six children, he said any donations would be appreciated and that he cannot thank members of the Thetford community enough for their help and support after having their home ripped away from them.
