Group of young people bailed after panes of glass in historic phone box smashed outside Dad’s Army Museum in Thetford




A group of young people have been bailed after five panes of glass in a historic phone box were smashed in a town.

Police are investigating the damage caused to the telephone box on April 3 at about 9.30pm outside the Dad’s Army Museum in Thetford.

Four young people were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage in connection with the incident.

A Breckland Police spokesperson said the young people have been referred to the police’s Youth Offending Team who will work with them and their families to determine the most appropriate next steps.

In the meantime, they have been bailed with strict conditions not to enter the town centre.
