Thetford man Michael Bassett jailed for more than five years for supplying drugs after arrest on A11

A 34-year-old man has been jailed for more than five years for supplying drugs after he was arrested on a major route.
Michael Bassett, of Elm Road in Thetford, pleaded guilty to one count of supply of a controlled drug (Class B).
Police arrested him on the A11 in April on suspicion of bringing large amounts of cannabis from Essex to the Breckland area.
Bassett was also charged with driving without insurance, driving without a valid licence and failing to provide.
He was sentenced yesterday at Norwich Crown Court to five years and three months in prison.
