Man injured in King Street, in Thetford, remains in Addenbrooke’s Hospital in serious condition
A man in his 30s remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital following an incident in Thetford on Wednesday.
Investigations are continuing to establish how the man, who was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, sustained his injuries.
Officers were called to King Street, in Thetford, at 12.09pm on Wednesday to reports of a fight.
A police spokeswoman said officers ‘seized a number of knives at the scene, however, there are no reports anyone was stabbed’.
Two men in their 30s and a woman in her 20s were arrested on suspicion of affray and were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
They have since been released on bail until August.
The spokeswoman said the three people arrested were known to the victim and it was believed to be an isolated incident.
On Wednesday afternoon a cordon was put in place on King Road, which was closed until 6.15pm.
