Man seriously injured on A1066 from Thetford towards Diss after car crashes into tree

A driver has been seriously injured after crashing into a tree in a village.

Police were called to reports of a single vehicle collision 50m east of a turning into Shadwell, as the vehicle travelled along the A1066 from Thetford towards Diss.

The incident was at about 7.25pm on Friday, December 23 and involved a grey Toyota Hilux.

The man in his 20s suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or the manner of driving of the vehicle prior to the collision.
