Man taken to hospital after Brandon bungalow fire in Queens Road

A man was taken to hospital after a bungalow fire in a town.

Police, the fire service and the ambulance service were alerted to the blaze in Queens Road, Brandon, earlier this afternoon.

Firefighters from Thetford and Methwold were dispatched to the incident.

They used breathing equipment, hose reel jets and a thermal imaging camera to fight the blaze.

Police initially cordoned off the road but had left the scene by 4.45pm.

One ambulance was sent to the scene and took the man to West Suffolk Hospital for treatment.

Fire crews remain at the incident but had it under control by just after 3pm.
