Crash on A1066 in Brettenham near Thetford sees motorcyclist airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries




A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash.

The collision was on the A1066, in Brettenham near Thetford, at 8.28pm yesterday when it's believed a green Kawasaki motorcycle veered off the road and hit a tree.

The road was closed while emergency services attended including the fire service, ambulance service and air ambulance.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken by air ambulance to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

The road reopened at about 2.40am today.

Officers from Norfolk Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the manner of driving of the motorcycle before the incident.
