Person rescued from car on A11 northbound, near to junction with B1106, after it flipped over in crash with central reservation

A person was rescued from a car by emergency services after it flipped onto its roof on a major road in the early hours.

Police and the fire and ambulance services were called to the A11 northbound at the junction with the B1106, near Thetford, at about 2.40am.

The car had crashed into the central reservation and flipped onto its roof into a ditch.

Three fire engines were dispatched to the scene, with crews helping to remove the person from the vehicle.

A police spokesperson said the incident was damage only.
